Voter ID card correction process online in Gujarat
visit the Chief Electoral Officer of Gujarat website. In the home page & select Online Voter Registration.
Log in using your credentials. If your are using this facility for the first time and register using your name, address, email ID and phone number.
In the resulting page, select “Voter Details for Amendment to 8”. You need to enter your Voter ID card number to proceed further. If your are not sure about your Voter ID card number, you can use the search option to find out your Voter ID card number.
Form 8 which is designed by the Election Commission of India to change the details of the voter will be displayed on the screen. You have to enter the information like your name, date of birth, address and other details about your family members whose name has been included in the voter list.
Specify the information you wish to change and also attach supporting documents. For example, if you want to change the photograph, attach your photograph and also attach a photo identity proof.
After submitting the form, your will be receive a PDF. You have to take a printout of the PDF and send it to the nearest Election Commission office through post.
Your application for change of details in Voter ID will be reviewed and the new card will be mailed to your address.
