The Gujarat government has made a big announcement for the farmers cultivating dragon fruit. State Agriculture Minister Raghavji Patel said that a total of Rs 1000 lakh would be provided to the farmers cultivating lotus fruit i.e. dragonfruit and Rs 650 lakh would be provided to the farmers under the comprehensive horticulture development.
3 lakh per hectare & 4.50 lakh per hectare
Maximum Rs. 3 lakh per hectare to the general caste farmers cultivating dragon fruit and a maximum of Rs. 4.50 lakh per hectare will be provided to SC/ST farmers within the limit of one hectare.
650 lakh assistance to farmers under CHD
In addition, comprehensive horticulture development provides financial assistance to farmers in various components such as perennial fruit planting, irrigation equipment, horticulture mechanization, horticulture infrastructure, vermi compost unit, plastic cover, individual farmer, FPO, FPC, Total. It has been decided to start a program of one lakh rupees in the interest of farmers. 650 lakhs for the this assistance of Rs.
Total amount Rs. 1650 lakhs has been allocated by the state government for both the programs for this incentive assistance.
